Color is passion screaming to be let out. It is passion for art; passion for life; passion for happiness and love. Color is emotions expressed, and my art is driven by color choices. I want my art to be colorful, vibrant. Above all else, I want my art to be passionate. It must be bright and optimistic, with a splash of curiosity, yet never fearing new horizons; new emotions. I want my art to feel good, even when it doesn’t feel right.
There is no right place to start, and that is good. Each pigment that I choose to apply to an empty canvas is an exploration of self; an emotional journey accompanied by self-doubt and fear of failure. Each brush stroke has the capacity to deny me of my ego. I continue, and attack, and move forward. I choose my colors, each one reflecting my emotions; my passion for art and creation. I move forward until I am done. And when I look back on my journey, I see myself reflected in each and every one of the details in my piece. It is me, in a moment, expressed, and that feels good; not right, good.
I want my art to be a passionate expression of me.
